FAQ

Common questions

All permit data comes from the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) public filings. We download, parse, and index every permit filed — including formation, depth, operator, and well type — and make it searchable in real time.

The pipeline runs automatically every morning at 6 AM Central Time, pulling the latest TRRC permit file and loading new records into the database. The dashboard shows a 'last updated' timestamp so you always know how fresh the data is.

Yes — Texas TRRC is fully live. We are actively building out New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota. Multi-state access will be included in Pro and Enterprise plans when available, at no extra charge.

Yes. CSV export is included on all plans — Basic, Pro, and Enterprise. You can export filtered permit lists, operator rankings, or county breakdowns with a single click.

REST API access is included on Enterprise plans. It gives you programmatic access to permits, operator data, and MWD market share data for integration into your own tools or CRM.

BasinRadar is purpose-built for oilfield service companies — specifically MWD companies, directional drillers, and other field service providers who need to find work, track competitors, and prioritize basins. Operators and land teams also find value in the permit intelligence.

Yes. All plans include daily permit alerts that you can configure by district, operator, county, or well type. Enterprise plans support custom alert rules with webhook delivery.

Stop guessing. Start knowing.

Join oilfield service teams using BasinRadar to find more work, faster — before competitors even know it's available.
