FAQ

Common questions

The RRC publishes raw files daily. BasinRadar downloads, parses, indexes, and delivers them as a filtered feed for your territory — so your reps don't spend mornings running queries across multiple RRC systems.

Enverus is a broad upstream platform. BasinRadar is a focused daily sales tool for Texas oilfield service teams. If your reps need a ranked call sheet every morning — not a data warehouse — BasinRadar is built for that workflow.

All permit data comes from the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) public filings. We download, parse, and index every permit filed — including formation, depth, operator, and well type — and make it searchable in real time.

The pipeline runs automatically every morning at 6 AM Central Time, pulling the latest TRRC permit file and loading new records into the database. The dashboard shows a 'last updated' timestamp so you always know how fresh the data is.

Yes — Texas TRRC is fully live. We are actively building out New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota. Multi-state access will be available on future plans when launched.

Yes. CSV export is included on all plans — Basic, Pro, and Enterprise. You can export filtered permit lists, operator rankings, or county breakdowns with a single click.

REST API access is included on Enterprise plans. It gives you programmatic access to permits, operator data, and MWD market share data for integration into your own tools or CRM.

BasinRadar is purpose-built for oilfield service companies — specifically MWD companies, directional drillers, and other field service providers who need to find work, track competitors, and prioritize basins.
